I absolutely love the idea of hanging roses, orchids, or carnations as a backdrop to my ceremony site. On a limited budget this may need to be translated to a cheaper material. How about tissue paper?
A few months back there was a huge surge of tissue paper pom pom ideas (including do-it-yourself instructions). Recently Nicole + Olin’s island wedding was featured on Once Wed. I assumed the hanging peach “flowers” were real. The dark greens with the orange made the image feel so lush. Were they peonies, garden roses or even hibiscus? With a little research they too turned out to be tissue paper! Now I just need to figure out how these could be hung from a doorway!!
